1. 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks

Remember when the Bucks failed to make it to the championship with one of the most talent squads in NBA history? Well, as it so happens, they took a page out of the Warriors' playbook and only did so after winning the Larry O'Brien the year before, when they posted the highest SRS -- 11.91 -- we've ever seen.

The Bucks' 66 wins are, by no means, the highest of the group, but their margin of victory (12.26) is right up there with the other two teams in the top three. They led the league with an offensive rating of 103.9 and 118.4 points per game. And although they allowed 106.2 points a game, they ranked first in defensive rating, at 93.1 points allowed per 100 possessions.

Again, this speaks to the lightning-fast pace of the era.

It also speaks to their severely talented trio of Abdul-Jabbar, Robertson and Bob Dandridge. Each of them produced 18.4 points per game while Robertson dished out 8.2 assists per game and Kareem grabbed 16 rebounds each night.

Subsequent to their amazing regular season, Milwaukee lost just two games on their path to a 4-0 Finals sweep of the Baltimore Bullets. In that series, the big three accounted for 70.8 points, 33 rebounds and 15.8 assists a game.

With Milwaukee making a second appearance, that means only five NBA franchises make up the top 10 teams of all-time. That's really a testament to the sustained greatness of their respective superstars and the successful team cultures they were a part of.
