2. Anthony Davis, New Orleans Hornets (2012-13)

The only player of this list who could possibly ever join Kobe as an all-time-great type of player is Anthony Davis. And, to be honest, from the start, that's what a lot of people expected out of the star Kentucky player.

In his first year, those thoughts weren't exactly extinguished, either. In 64 games and 28.8 minutes a game, Brow contributed 13.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks at 19 years of age.

In 2012, he led the then-New Orleans Hornets (among qualified players) with .159 win shares per 48 and a player efficiency rating (PER) of 21.7. The team didn't really benefit, though, recording only 27 wins.

The team notched 34 in Davis' second year, but he still failed to play 70 games. Through four more years, he's yet to appear in more than 68 games in any campaign. From his rookie year, we've seen the potential of the young and talented star, and injuries have been the only thing that's gotten in the way.
