3. LeBron James, Miami Heat (2012-13)

I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but LeBron is the only player to make the list with two different teams. In his third of four seasons with the Miami Heat, he won the last of his four MVP awards.

Alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, James tallied win shares at a rate of .322 over 48 minutes. With 2,877 minutes in 76 regular season games, 28-year-old LeBron racked up 19.3 total win shares with the second-highest PER (31.6) of his career.

On the back of James and his 26.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest, the Heat won 66 games and their second title in a row. After seven hard-fought games against the San Antonio Spurs, LeBron was named Finals MVP for the second straight season.

He has the edge on Jordan somewhere.
