T-5. LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers (2008-09)

At 24 years old, LeBron James won his first MVP award in his first go around with the Cavs. Before leaving Cleveland and before attaining any future rings, James played one of the best seasons of his career, with averages of 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists in 37.7 minutes.

Though he used 33.8% of his team's plays while on the court, LeBron earned career highs in multiple efficiency categories. His 31.7 PER, 13.0 BPM and 20.3 win shares were the highest of his career through six seasons.

Per 48 minutes, LeBron logged .318 win shares in 81 games. In the face of that, the Cavs still weren't good enough to reach the ultimate goal. Subsequent to a 66-win regular season, they were ousted by the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals.
