6. Illinois

Win Shares: 621.3

Of all the players who call the state of Illinois home, there's not one big name that rises above the rest. Nonetheless, Dan Issel played in the 70s and 80s and leads the group with 157.8 win shares. He appeared in seven All-Star games and won a single ring before wrapping up a 15-year Hall of Fame career.

Shawn Marion, a.k.a. the Matrix, is next in line. He put up 124.9 win shares in his 16 years with multiple NBA franchises. He was a four-time All-Star and one-time champion, averaging 15.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game for his career.

The most recent of the three is one who calls Chicago home today, and that's Dwyane Wade. In 912 NBA games, Wade has 117.2 win shares and over 21,000 points. He is a 12-time All-Star and has won three league championships in what is sure to be a Hall of Fame playing career.
