7. Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets (2008-09)

Values: 1.14 Total/1.06 Per Game/.60 Per 36 Minutes

Before his years with the Los Angeles Clippers, Chris Paul called New Orleans home, where he was a member of the then-New Orleans Hornets for four of six total seasons in the Big Easy. In 2008, CP3's fourth year with the franchise, he had the best statistical season of his career. In earning himself a career-high PER of 30, he supplied a personal-best 22.8 points in conjunction with 11.0 assists and 2.8 steals a game.

These three categories are where Paul has typically done most of his damage and where he provided most of his value that season. In points, Paul was respectable 1.58, but in assists (3.73) and steals (4.45) he was, by far, the best. And despite four categories -- threes, rebounds, blocks and turnovers -- of negative value, Paul was that good in the five others as he ranked first on the year in overall value.
