Before the playoff drought began back in 2006, the Kings were a respectable franchise. And, in 2002, with a 72.9 nERD and 61 wins, they were among the NBA's elite.

For the Kings, a top-10 offense and defense still weren't enough to capitalize on a great regular season. Instead, Chris Webber and company were ousted by the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
