Enes Kanter: Friend or Foe?

It’s hard to say whether we’re supposed to love or hate Enes Kanter at this point, and his fantasy outlook on a nightly basis doesn’t seem to help make things any easier.

In simplest terms, Kanter is a solid play when he gets his minutes. Despite underperforming as a defender, Kanter is a pretty reliable double-double machine when he sees over 25 minutes of action. He’s reached at least six-times value in three of the four games in which he’s played at least 30 minutes.

Otherwise, Kanter has only reached five-times value in one game of which he played less than 25 minutes, and that was back at the start of the season when he carried a price tag in the mid-$5,000’s.

Perhaps similar to his attitude on the court and the conversation as to whether he’s more friend or foe, Kanter is a peculiar player who requires just the right situation. He's most suitable when the game totals are working in our favor, the opponent is ideal, and he remains the top option at his position in New York.

The Knicks are in Toronto tonight and they'll take on the Clippers, Raptors (again), and Hawks next week.
