For the third time this season, Al Horford will be sidelined for the Celtics. In this instance, it's just a precautionary rest day for the 11-year veteran, but no matter the reason, it means opportunity for Aron Baynes. In the two previous games that Horford's missed, the man they call "Bangers" has played 24.4 minutes and produced 29.3 FanDuel points per game, against the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets.

The circumstances are similar tonight, but the absence of Marcus Morris could increase the potential for Baynes to play more minutes and be even more of a factor against the Nuggets. With bigger rebounding forces like Kenneth Faried and Mason Plumlee down low, he will be asked to limit their impact as the only healthy Celtics player standing at least 6'10".

The opportunity is plain to see. When you consider that the Nuggets, over the last five games, are allowing two more points per game and three more points per 100 possessions (per NBA.com) without star center Nikola Jokic, the upside is right there with the opportunity. And that makes Baynes a great punt play in this spot.
