3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 1/11/18
Manu Ginobili, SG, San Antonio Spurs
FanDuel Price: $4,400
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.3
Projected FanDuel Value: 3.92
In case you're not paying up for a guy like DeMar DeRozan at shooting guard, you have your pick of a few nice options below $5,000. With Danny Green officially questionable, Bryn Forbes and Manu Ginobili could split time once again for San Antonio.
In the Spurs' last four games without Green, Ginobili has been the better fantasy option when he's played. He sat out the first and last of those four games, but in the two he played, he put up 34.7 and 40.8 FanDuel points, respectively, in 19 and 27 minutes. Manu totaled 23.5 real-world points per game while shooting 61.5% from the floor and 69.2% from three, but it's his usage -- not his lights-out shooting -- that makes him so appealing. In those two games, the 40-year-old used a team-high 32.1% of possessions while on the floor.
Both Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard are expected to be out tonight, so Manu's usage shouldn't change too much -- especially against a Los Angeles Lakers squad that struggled against shooting guards. As a team, the Lakers are allowing 111.1 points per game and 22.0 a night to opposing shooting guards. When you account for the fact that they allow the fifth-most assists (4.6) and threes (2.9) to the position, it's hard not to love Manu in this pace-up game.
