With Willie Cauley-Stein ruled out and Skal Labissiere questionable for Wednesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans, Kosta Koufos is almost a shoo-in for extended minutes. He's already averaged 25.4 minutes and 22 FanDuel points in the team's last two games, which they've played without Cauley-Stein.

Going beyond the last two, Koufos has put together three straight games of 21 or more FanDuel points while averaging 1.02 FanDuel points per minute in that span. Per NBAWowy!, that's slightly better than Koufos' season-long mark of 0.95 without Cauley-Stein on the floor. If you add Labissiere to that split, his usage rate and total rebounding rate both increase in the 916 possessions without the two young bigs.

In case Koufos' situation wasn't already juicy enough, he gets the Pelicans, who rank 1st in pace (107.19 possessions per 48) and 20th in rebounding rate (49.5%) over the last 10 games. They're also on a road back-to-back after winning a hard-fought, late-night battle against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday. Throw in Anthony Davis' hip injury and questionable status, and it becomes clear that Koufos could eat in this one.
