NBA Playoff Race Update: The East Is Set, But the West Remains Wild

The end of the 2017-18 season is less than a week away, and teams four through nine in the Western Conference all run the risk of missing out on the postseason entirely.

The fourth-place Utah Jazz and ninth-place Denver Nuggets are only two games apart, and even the 10th-place Los Angeles Clippers are still in the hunt with only two games separating them and the eighth-place Timberwolves.

It's somehow still too early to discuss tiebreakers, considering how much shuffling is possible within this cluster in the standings over these next few days, so this all might literally come down to the last night of the season on Wednesday.

The biggest improvements in playoff odds this week belonged to the Nuggets (12.1% to 53.5%) and Jazz (77.6% to 99.6%), while the biggest droppers were the Clippers (39.9% to 10.4%) and Pelicans (82.9% to 64.6%).
