3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 1/18/19

I don't presume to know all of the variables that go into DraftKings pricing models. What I do know, however, is that sometimes salaries that should be seeing a rise fall through the cracks. One such instance belongs to Golden State Warriors big Kevon Looney.

Looney comes into tonight's game with a $4,000 salary. It was $4,100 last game, and the game before that, and two games before that. In those four games, Looney has topped 30.0 DraftKings points (and a value of over 7.0 DraftKings points per $1,000) three times, yet his salary has dropped. It's confounding to say the least.

Looney's not only had big games of late, but he's shown consistency as well. He's topped 20.0 DraftKings points in 8 of his past 10 games, averaging 7.6 points, 7.6 boards, 2.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 24.0 DraftKings points in that span. He faces a Los Angeles Clippers team tonight against whom he's topped 20.0 DraftKings points both times he's faced them this season.

We have Looney projected for 18.2 DraftKings points tonight. Given his recent level of play, however, that could just be scratching the surface.
