The absence of Louis Williams the last two games has opened up a wealth of minutes, and scoring potential, for the Los Angeles Clippers backcourt. In those two contests, sans Williams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander barley left the court, playing an average of 40.0 minutes per night. His involvement in the offense jumped as well, with the rookie guard taking a total of 32 shots and his usage rate climbing to 21.9%, an over 25% increase over his first 44 games played.

The extra looks left SGA with one monster DFS performance (42.1 FanDuel points) and one dud, where an off shot -- he sank just 3-of-17 attempts -- left him with 13.3 FanDuel points. All indications are Williams and Danilo Gallinari will sit out again on Tuesday in a favorable matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs allow 0.98 FanDuel points per minute to opposing point guards with opponents shooting better (46.1%) than league average against them.

That leaves Gilgeous-Alexander another prominent role in a depleted Clips offense. Combine that with his sub-$4,000 salary on Tuesday and the rook becomes nearly a must-start on a limited four-game slate.
