One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Tyus Jones, PG, Minnesota Timberwolves

While rookie Kris Dunn has been out due to a hand injury, sophomore Tyus Jones has seized extra playing time in the Minnesota Timberwolves' backcourt, averaging 27.7 minutes over his last three games. During that span, Jones is putting up a serviceable 6.7 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals per game.

Jones boasts the highest projected value among all point guards playing tonight.

Wayne Ellington, SG, Miami Heat

Dion Waiters has already been ruled out for tonight's game, which will mean a surplus in minutes for Wayne Ellington. Ellington started in place of Waiters in his last game, and is coming off a 17-point performance which included 5-of-8 shooting from deep range. In 11 starts this season, he's averaging 12.1 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.4 three-pointers.

Ellington owns the best defense-versus-position rank among all shooting guards on tonight's schedule. At near-minimum salary, he is worth considering as a flier.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, SF, Brooklyn Nets

According to our tools, he's trending as tonight's fourth-hottest small forward and is playing 35.17% above his season average in terms of fantasy points per night over the last five games.

Juan Hernangomez, PF, Denver Nuggets

Juan Hernangomez will see a slight uptick in minutes, as Kenneth Faried will not suit up for tonight's game against the New York Knicks.
