DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Thursday 3/5/20

With four games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Point Guard

Russell Westbrook ($10,000) -- Westbrook has met the Los Angeles Clippers three times this season and averages 40.6 fantasy points against them on 26.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 34.4 minutes per game. Westbrook is averaging 1.40 fantasy points per minute across his last five games and 1.42 in his last 10 overall. The Houston Rockets lead the NBA in scoring over the last five games, putting up 123.4 points per game, and Westbrook's contributed 30.6 of that per contest. He's led the team in scoring twice during that five-game stretch, and he had a block or steal in each of those five outings. Westbrook is projected by numberFire's model to record 26.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.

Shake Milton ($6,500) -- Milton has erupted onto the scene, averaging 33.5 fantasy points in his last six games for the Philadelphia 76ers. He totaled 54.75 versus the Clips two games ago and followed that up with 26.75 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Milton's rate of fantasy points per minute has shot up to 1.09 from his 0.83 season average. His usage rate is at a season-high 21.23% over his last five games, and he's projected to amass 28.33 fantasy points tonight. On the road, Milton is playing much better, averaging 19.8 fantasy points per game, compared to 11.8 at home.

Shooting Guard

Norman Powell ($6,600) -- With multiple injuries to the lineup for the Toronto Raptors, Powell has started and scored 20 points in three straight games. He's surpassed 29 fantasy points in four straight and had his best fantasy performance in six weeks in his last outing, going for 40 DK points versus the Phoenix Suns. Powell averages 0.93 fantasy points per minute over his last five games and 0.95 in his last 10. This will be his first meeting with the Golden State Warriors, and they struggle defending shooting guards. Golden State allows the fourth-most fantasy points to the position (47.19).

Furkan Korkmaz ($4,500) -- The 76ers continue their road trip in Sacramento tonight without their two stars, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. They have handful of role players like Korkmaz, who can light it up offensively, but Milton and Korkmaz are two to watch out for. Korkmaz averages 0.92 fantasy points per minute over his last 10 games and has seen an increased role with the 76ers starts out. He's played at least 24 minutes in his last six games and exceed 20 fantasy points in four of those six. He's attempted nine or more field goals in five of the last six games and averages 16 fantasy points in 21.2 minutes on the road.

Small Forward

Tobias Harris ($7,900) -- Harris is the leader of the 76ers for the time being, and he has fared well in two of three games he's dealt without his All-Star teammates. Harris has averaged 42.1 fantasy points in the three games, including a 58.25-point fantasy effort versus the New York Knicks. Harris has played at least 33 minutes in each of his last five games, and he's averaging 1.09 fantasy points per minute in that stretch. His usage rate has climbed to 24.77% since the All-Star break, and he's projected to tally 33.9 fantasy points tonight in Sacramento, though he has upside for more in this spot.

Torrey Craig ($3,000) -- Craig's minutes have dropped after the All-Star break -- to 15.2 minutes over four games, from 32.2 minutes in his last four heading into break. This matchup with the Charlotte Hornets is a solid opportunity for him to crack that 20-minute mark, something he's done once in his last four. In the Nuggets' previous game (versus the Warriors), Craig registered 24.25 fantasy points, his third-most in his last 10 games. He certainly isn't going to win you a GPP today, but he has a chance to have a solid night at a cheap salary.

Power Forward

Mike Scott ($3,800) -- Scott has averaged 29.5 fantasy points in his last two games, scoring double-digits in both and grabbing at least six rebounds in each. Scott is averaging 0.78 fantasy points per minute over his last 10 games, and his minutes played have skyrocketed over the past two. He went from 11 minutes per game in three games out of the All-Star break to 26 and 36 minutes of action in his last two. He started versus the Lakers and could get the start against the Kings today, which would make him much more valuable.

OG Anunoby ($6,400) -- Anunoby has recorded 27 or more fantasy points in seven of his last 10 games, including four straight, for the Raptors. He's scored double-digits in five of his last six games and combined for nine or more rebounds plus assists in three straight. He's averaging 1.04 fantasy points per minute in his last five games and has averaged 45.58 fantasy points in his last three. He's been on fire for Toronto, shooting 41% or better from the field and 30% or better from three in his last four games. Anunoby is projected to finish with 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists by our models.

Center

Paul Millsap ($4,600) -- In his last game, Millsap finished one rebound shy of his second double-double in his last eight games. He scored 18 points and grabbed nine boards for 32.75 fantasy points versus Golden State. The Nuggets' forward will meet Charlotte for the first time this season, and the Hornets have struggled in just about every aspect versus power forwards. Charlotte gives up the third-most fantasy points per game (51.41), fourth-most actual points (23.88), fourth-most rebounds (12.08), and sixth-most assists (3.99) to the position. numberFire's model projects Millsap to post 11.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists tonight.

Montrezl Harrell ($6,500) -- After the All-Star break, Harrell has averaged 20.8 points and 6.8 rebounds for 31.54 fantasy points in six games. He's totaled those impressive numbers off the bench for the Clippers in 28 minutes or fewer in all six games. In three games versus the Rockets this season, Harrell has averaged 27.5 fantasy points, but this will be his first meeting versus Houston without Clint Capela. The Rockets rank 16th versus centers in terms of DK points allowed per game (54.16). Harrell is projected to record 18.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists for 31.2 fantasy points.
