LeBron James scores season-high 44 in Lakers' win, climbs to 5th all-time
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James scored 44 points (13-of-19 field goals, 5-of-6 3-pointers, 13-of-15 free throws) with 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks, and 4 turnovers in 36.0 minutes of a 126-117 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
The points are a season-high for James and they push him past Wilt Chamberlain for 5th on the NBA's all-time scoring list. If he maintains his current pace, LeBron will easily pass Michael Jordan to move up to 4th before the season is over. The triples and blocks were also a personal-bests for James this season. The Lakers have won four straight and six of their last seven. They have two days off before starting a three-game road trip.
LeBron also posted a season-high 77.5 FanDuel points in the victory. He's averaging 51.6 FanDuel points per game on the year.
