Dennis Schroder dealt to Rockets in three-player package
The Houston Rockets are acquiring point guard Dennis Schroder from the Boston Celtics.
Schroder started 25-of-49 games for the Celtics this season and he had been a meaningful part of the rotation until recently. He could potentially return to a larger role in Houston as the first guard off the bench behind Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. The Rockets are also acquiring Bruno Fernando in the trade, and they are waiving Armoni Brooks and D.J. Augustin to make room on the roster. Derrick White, who the Celtics acquired from the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, will likely take on most of Schroder's minutes.
Schroder averaged 25.4 FanDuel points in 29.2 minutes per game for the Celtics this season. numberFire's models currently expect him to play 30.7 minutes per game for the Rockets.
