Grizzlies' Marcus Smart (finger) out approximately 6 weeks
Memphis Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart has been diagnosed with a severe right ring finger injury and will be sidelined for approximately six weeks, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Smart suffered the injury in Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The Grizzlies just lost Ja Morant (shoulder) for the remainder of the season, so they will be thin in the backcourt until at least the All-Star break. Derrick Rose (thigh), Jacob Gilyard, and Desmond Bane will likely see more run at point guard while Smart is sidelined. There will also be more minutes available for guys like Vince Williams, John Konchar, Ziaire Williams, and Luke Kennard.
Smart is averaging 30.3 minutes and 27.9 FanDuel points per game this season.
