LeBron James (ankle) sitting out Thursday for Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (ankle) is out for Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics.
James and Anthony Davis (Achilles/hip) have both been downgraded from questionable and ruled out. There will be more minutes for Jarred Vanderbilt, Rui Hachimura, and Christian Wood in the frontcourt, while D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves should see more work on offense.
Russell is averaging 36.8 minutes and 44.7 FanDuel points across five games without LeBron this season, compared to 30.0 minutes and 29.6 FanDuel points when both players are active. He has a $7,600 salary on Thursday and is a potential value play.
