Joel Embiid (knee) expected to miss 6-8 weeks for 76ers
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Embiid is scheduled to be re-evaluated in four weeks after undergoing a left meniscus procedure on Tuesday, but it looks like he won't be able to return by then. Paul Reed and Mo Bamba will continue to fill in at center while Embiid is sidelined. Tyrese Maxey also benefits from a larger role on offense, but he's questionable for Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors due to an illness.
numberFire's models project Reed for 23.8 minutes and 26.3 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Bamba is projected for 17.7 minutes and 19.7 FanDuel points.
