After a barrage of threes moved Michigan into the second round, they were set up as underdogs against 2 seed Louisville. The Wolverines had a win probability of just 34.4 percent, but nothing has been able to slow down Michigan since their plane incident on the way to the Big Ten tournament.

Louisville gave it their best shot, leading for essentially the first 30 minutes of the game, but Michigan tied the game at 51 behind a 13-4 run. Prior to that run, Michigan only had a win probability of 10.72 percent. After a Moritz Wagner three put Michigan up with 6:40 to go, the Wolverines never relinquished their lead, with D.J. Wilson going perfect from the free throw line down the stretch to seal the win.
