7. Lamonte Turner, Tennessee

Round of 64 vs. Wright State
nERD: 53.48
19 points, 9 assists

Turner has taken a backseat to teammates Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield for the majority of this season, but that was not the case in the team's opening round game against Wright State. Turner played the leading role, and put up plenty of points, including a 9-for-10 effort from the free throw line. But it was his ability to create shots for others that really shined against Wright State.

The redshirt freshman turned in 9 assists to just 1 turnover, which played a huge part in Turner's efficient win. His ability to generate scoring opportunities without turning the ball over proved extremely valuable to the Volunteers' victory.

In a Round of 32 matchup against Loyola, Turner's inability to replicate that same effort -- failing to produce even a single assist -- was among the many reasons the Volunteers' postseason run came to an abrupt end.
