It's not often that a team has two players that can take over a game, let alone two of the three-to-five most talented players in the country. That's what Coach K has at his disposal with R.J. Barrett dominating from his guard spot.

Most likely to many's dismay, the 6'7" freshman has managed a higher usage rate (32.4%) and more points per game (22.9) than his more hyped teammate this year. He's taken 18.7 shots a game and hasn't shot as well from the floor (45.7%) or beyond the arc (30.4%), but he fills up the stat sheet as well, boasting 7.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks in 34.9 minutes. He's asked to play heavier minutes in his role, and in Williamson's injury-related absence his ability to be Batman more than Robin was on full display.

According to Hoop-Math, Barrett has taken 39.0% of his shots at the rim, converting at a rate of 64.3% but also averaging 0.322 free throw attempts for every shot. He's clearly at his best when he's attacking the basket and getting himself to the foul line with frequency -- a combination that bodes well when things dry up from the three-point line or when his defender is severely over-matched in athleticism.
