Browns' Jerome Ford in line for 'a much larger role' in 2023
The Athletic's Zac Jackson believes that Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford is "headed for a much larger role" in the 2023 season.
Ford was stuck behind teammates Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, and D'Ernest Johnson for his entire rookie campaign, but should enter his second season as the clear number two back behind Chubb in 2023.
The 2022 fifth-round pick saw just 8 carries in the regular season, but did make the most out of his reps on special teams by returning 30 kicks for 723 yards. His 24.1 yards per return ranked sixth across all kick returners in the league last year.
