Garrett Wilson (ankle) participating in Jets drills
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) participated in team drills on Thursday.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh previously said Wilson would be limited to individual drills. The Jets only held a light practice on Thursday, but it's still encouraging to see Wilson making progress after he injured his ankle at the beginning of training camp. The second-year receiver is expected to be fine for Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Wilson led all rookie receivers with 139 targets, 83 receptions, and 1,103 yards last season.
Wilson is the WR11 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 153.5 targets, 96.4 receptions, 1,187.2 yards, and 9.56 touchdowns. Among wideout with 100-plus targets, he ranked 19th with 1.85 yards per route run.
