Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) could return for Chiefs' preseason finale
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told media members Monday that running back Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) could be available for the team's final preseason game on Saturday against the Cleveland Browns.
Pacheco has been participating in a non-contact fashion throughout Chiefs training camp as he continues to rehab from the injuries he sustained as a rookie and was initially targeting a return for Week 1 of the regular season. If he gets the go-ahead for the Chiefs' final preseason game it would dispel any doubts about his health for the fantasy football season.
Pacheco is expected to handle the bulk of the Chiefs' rushing attempts for the upcoming season, picking up where he left off during the team's Super Bowl run. Being the starting running back for the best offense in the NFL has its perks; in Pacheco's case, he's projected as the RB25 for the 2023 season.
