Rapoport: Texans' C.J. Stroud (shoulder) 'should' play in Week 2
The NFL's Ian Rapoport believes Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud (shoulder) "should" play in the team's Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Stroud was a late addition to the Texans' injury report this week, which is usually not a good sign, but it seems like the rookie signal caller will be able to play through the issue in Week 2. If he is unable to suit up, the Texans would likely have Davis Mills take over at quarterback for the week.
If he does suit up, our models project Stroud, who has a $6,400 salary on FanDuel, to score 16.1 fantasy points against the Colts. That projection comes off of 224.4 passing yards, 1.3 touchdowns, and 0.7 interceptions. Stroud added 20 rushing yards to his tally in Week 1 against the Ravens and could have more upside as a rushing quarterback than his initial draft profile indicated, making him a potential sleeper option at the quarterback position.
