Sam LaPorta (calf) practices, uncertain Sunday for Lions
Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (calf) returned to practice on Friday.
This is a positive sign after LaPorta sat out Thursday, but Lions head coach Dan Campbell said the rookie tight end is uncertain for Sunday's Week 6 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brock Wright will likely start if LaPorta is out and there will be more targets available for all of the receivers.
The Bucs are allowing the ninth-fewest FanDuel points per game to opposing tight ends this season and their pass defense ranks ninth in numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP model. LaPorta is averaging 6.2 targets per game and has a 20.4% target share.
