PJ Walker moving to backup duty for Browns
Cleveland Browns quarterback PJ Walker will not start Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Deshaun Watson (shoulder) will reclaim the starting job after Walker filled in the past few weeks. Walker will step back in if Watson suffers a setback.
Among the 38 quarterbacks with at least 50 dropbacks this season, Watson is 36th and Walker is 37th in Passing Net Expected Points per attempt. The Cardinals' pass defense ranks 29th in numberFire’s opponent-adjusted NEP model and they allow the ninth-most FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks this season.
