Jahmyr Gibbs to receive "fair share" of Lions' plays moving forward

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is expected to receive a "fair share" of the team's plays going forward, according to Dan Campbell.

What It Means:

Gibbs had a breakout performance against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8, recording 189 total yards and 1 rushing touchdown on 31 touches. That performance came with David Montgomery (ribs) sidelined. Montgomery is expected to return for Week 10's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Asked about Gibbs, Campbell said "I don’t think necessarily, talking to you right now, that I see Gibbs getting 65 plays. I don’t see that, but he’s going to get his fair share now. We know what we can be and he’s growing, so I think it’ll be a little bit by committee and make sure we get those guys touches. Gibbs’ll get his touches." It appears that, understandably, Gibbs will not continue to see the workload he did in Week 8, but he should see more touches than he did when Montgomery was active earlier in the season. Our models expect Gibbs to see 11.8 carries and catch 3.4 passes in Week 10.

Gibbs' Week 10 projection includes 52.1 rushing yards, 24.6 receiving yards, 0.58 total touchdowns, and 12.8 FanDuel points. His salary is $8,200.
