Dorian Thompson-Robinson expected to start Week 11 for Browns
Cleveland Browns fifth-round rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is expected to start Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to multiple reports.
Thompson-Robinson made his first career start in Week 4 versus the Baltimore Ravens and completed 19 of 36 passes for 121 scoreless yards and 3 interceptions. He also rushed 4 times for 24 yards. The Browns bumped him down to third on the depth chart following the contest, but with Deshaun Watson (shoulder) now done for the season, the rookie will leapfrog PJ Walker and take back over as the starter. Thompson-Robinson will have a tough matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
DTR is averaging negative-0.47 Passing Net Expected Points on 41 dropbacks this season, which ranks last among the 45 quarterbacks with at least 40 dropbacks. Walker is 41st (negative-0.19) and Watson is 33rd (negative-0.08). The Steelers have the eighth-best pass defense in the NFL this season, per numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP rankings.
