3 Daily Fantasy Hockey Stacks for 2/28/17
Montreal Canadiens
Players to target: Artturi Lehkonen, Alex Galchenyuk, and Brendan Gallagher
The Montreal Canadiens' second line has been a big DFS disappointment since the returns of Galchenyuk and Gallagher.
While Galchenyuk has started to heat up (3 points in last 2 games), the line as a whole is not scoring goals. There has even been some talk on Twitter about Brendan Gallagher being broken. He did just miss a goal last night and is still shooting the puck as much as anyone in the league, though (almost 22 Individual Corsi For per 60 minutes).
Many DFSers will be turned off by the lack of recent production, but the advanced stats for Gallagher and this line make them stackable in a good matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
With Paul Byron on their line, Galchenyuk and Gallagher were posting a ridiculous 81.3 Corsi for per 60 minutes. Lehkonen is a similar player to Byron in terms of possession, and attempts almost twice as many shots per 60 minutes (16.6 to 8.4). That makes him a solid addition to an already talented duo of the two G's.
In a home matchup against Brandon Dubinsky's second line, who is allowing 59.5 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and 10.3 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes, pair this cheap Montreal second line with another top line in tournaments.
