NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 12/16/19
A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Sergei Bobrovsky ($8,000): Bobrovsky is expected to start tonight for the Florida Panthers against the Ottawa Senators. The goalie has been excellent over his past five starts, allowing just nine goals. Each game has also been a quality start for the goaltender. This was the goalie most everyone expected to see at the start of the season. Joonas Korpisalo ($7,300) is an intriguing choice and could face 30+ shots against the Washington Capitals tonight, or you can see who starts for the New York Rangers at home against the Nashville Predators.
High-Priced Skaters
Nathan MacKinnon ($9,100): While Connor McDavid has struggled more of late, MacKinnon plows right through adversity. Just when it appeared that he slowed down a bit, the Colorado Avalanche forward scores a goal, an assist, and fired five shots on net Friday against the New Jersey Devils. The St. Louis Blues are not the most DFS friendly team to play against, but the center has 50 real-world points in 32 games this season. He has fired 153 shots on net while approaching 300 attempts. Among the other high-priced centers, Aleksander Barkov ($7,600) was upgraded to probable early on Monday and is in a great matchup against the Ottawa Senators.
Artemi Panarin ($8,600): Panarin has eight real-world points in his previous four contests. In that span, he has 13 shots on net as well. After a great road trip, New York comes home to face Nashville and expect him and Mika Zibanejad to be higher-owned on Monday. Even Filip Forsberg ($7,300) may be someone to look at against a Rangers team that can give up 35+ shots per 60 at home most nights.
Value Skaters
Valeri Nichushkin ($3,800): Nichushkin just keeps surprising and stays right at a value range for DFS. He has real-world points in six of his previous eight games and scored again at home against New Jersey on Friday night. The shot output was reasonable, but he had three scoring chances against the Devils in just 14 minutes of ice time. His confidence is at an all-time high, and the best part is that his price has stayed steady again. How long that lasts is anyone's guess? Jordan Kyrou ($3,100) is a punt play that could have a little value for the St. Louis Blues tonight.
Justin Faulk ($3,900): The days of Faulk as a value play defensively never expected to come this early. However, his lack of production in the first two months has warranted this price drop. He has points in his previous two contests and looks more like the Faulk most are used to seeing. The defender blocks a couple shots, but it is his above-average slap shot, which must hit the net often to make him fantasy relevant. Against the Chicago Blackhawks, Faulk had a goal on five shots and two blocked shots. That needs to happen more often. Ian Cole ($4,000) is a solid peripheral choice for Colorado, and Tony DeAngelo ($4,200) could perk up some interest from New York.
