NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 2/3/20
A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Ben Bishop ($8,600): The Dallas Stars goaltender is likely to start on Monday against the New York Rangers who play a style conducive to lots of shots faced. Bishop has seen that before and though he is the highest-priced goalie on the slate, he also has a high chance of winning on Monday. He has two wins in his last three starts -- including a clutch overtime win in New Jersey on Saturday night where he stopped 29-of-31 shots. Also, see if Brian Elliott starts against the lowly Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. He is only $8,000.
High-Priced Skaters
Auston Matthews ($8,600): The center has a great matchup against the Florida Panthers with or without Aleksander Barkov in the lineup. Florida yields 3.42 goals per game on the road and just a 76% road penalty kill. The Toronto Maple Leafs are worse but Matthews makes up for that. He has four real-world points in his last three games with ten shots on goal and eight scoring chances. Florida gives up among the most unblocked shot attempts in the league (third-worst on the road). The Toronto top line can be one to stack on Monday night. Sean Couturier ($6,600) is a lower-cost alternative against Detroit and plays in all situations.
William Nylander ($7,000): With the smaller slate, pivoting to a more consistent Nylander is not a bad option. He has 14 or more FanDuel points in his last four outings. Also, the winger is on a seven-game point streak (nine points and five goals). This also allows a way to sneak in some power-play options from Toronto as well. Creative stacking including a defensive kicker could be vital in roster formation. That being said, the fact that Nylander goes against a team that allows 36 shots per 60 on the road helps as well. Jonathan Huberdeau ($7,200) is one to watch depending on the status of Barkov.
Value Skaters
Denis Gurianov ($3,700): Gurianov is a bit of a risk especially after the doughnut he posted against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night. Despite that, the winger had scored a goal in three of his last five games prior to that. Yes, Dallas is starved for scoring but should have plenty of opportunities against the Rangers on Monday night. All value skaters have inherent risk and Gurianov's has consistent shot volume (just 1.5 shots per game the last four starts). Worse comes to worse, Frank Vatrano ($3,300) is always available from Florida.
Filip Hronek ($4,000): The Detroit defenseman has a suspect floor but a matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers who give up 3.81 goals per game on the road. Yes, Detroit averages a woeful 2.07 goals per game at home but at the very least, Hronek will see top power-play time and many chances to block shots on Monday. Over his last four games, he has played an average of 26 minutes per night. It is a calculated risk to take. Adam Fox ($3,900) plays less time yet could be a sneaky option against Dallas.
