NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 3/3/20

Tuesday features a 10-game slate with Mika Zibanejad as a big play. Who else can you trust in NHL DFS?

A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel because it's a ton of fun.

Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at a goalie, some high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalie to Target

Robin Lehner ($8,100): The Vegas Golden Knights goalie is confirmed to start on Tuesday night against the New Jersey Devils. Lehner's numbers as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks were impressive, including his top-ability to stop slot shots (also faced the most). In his first start for Vegas against the Buffalo Sabres, he stopped 34 of 36 shots, which must have felt like playing in Chicago at times. However, the chances were less dangerous. New Jersey may be 3-0-2 in their last five games but overall have scored just 2.39 goals per game on the road. Semyon Varlamov ($7,600) could be a cheap option to start if he is confirmed on Tuesday for the New York Islanders.

High-Priced Skaters

Mika Zibanejad ($8,400): Just play him over and over. He struck twice on the man advantage on Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers and dished out a power-play assist, as well. That is nine goals in the last nine games for Zibanejad, who's averaged over 4.5 shots per game in this span. The St. Louis Blues allow 3.13 goals per game on the road and have just a 78% road penalty kill. This could be another good night for the high-scoring Rangers -- whether they win or not. Sidney Crosby ($8,300) is a little lower-priced than usual with a plus-matchup against the Ottawa Senators, too.

David Pastrnak ($9,200): The Boston Bruins' top line goes into Tampa to face the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. Pastrnak has topped 17 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. That includes nine real-world points and four-plus shots in four of those games. The right-winger is generating three-plus scoring chances per contest in this span. Some will look to Max Pacioretty ($7,700), and rightfully so, but Tampa without Steven Stamkos is going to allow even more opportunities than usual. Leon Draisaitl ($8,500) comes off a four-goal, five-point night against Nashville. Why not play him again?

Value Skaters

Danton Heinen ($3,500): Heinen is getting more consistent minutes for the Anaheim Ducks, and the chances have again increased -- seven in the last two games. Only Cory Schneider's outstanding goaltending on Sunday kept Heinen off the scoresheet. He enjoyed several high-danger chances. Chicago is far from stout defensively, as both teams allow three goals per game (Chicago -- 3.35 goals per game yielded since mid-January at home). Ondrej Kase ($3,600) could see a bit more expanded role tonight for Boston.

Mathew Dumba ($3,800): The Minnesota Wild defenseman is a moderate-risk play but did have five shots on goal in his last game and also hit a crossbar. Dumba is shooting the puck a good bit more, and the results are slowly coming. He does have seven real-world points in his last 10 games. Also, Nashville isn't rested after getting steamrolled by Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers last night. There will be opportunities aplenty from the blueline,as Nashville also has the third-worst penalty kill on the road at 74.5%. Connor Murphy ($3,800) is our floor alternative from Chicago.
