3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Friday 4/30/21

Four games on Friday night will make for less values than usual. So, who can we trust in NHL DFS tonight?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.

Friday night brings us four contests on the NHL schedule. What values may we find?

Quinton Byfield, Center, Los Angeles Kings

FanDuel Salary: $3,100

The risk is extreme on the Los Angeles Kings' rookie, but he had four shots on goal and three scoring chances in his debut on Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks.

Yes, Anaheim is not exactly quality competition, but the expectation is that Byfield could play around 17 minutes again. The center should be able to muster a few shots on goal and some opportunities. He looked far from out of place on Wednesday.

With his salary being so low, this is basically using a "free slot" to utilize the extra salary somewhere else.

Nick Schmaltz ($3,700) from the Arizona Coyotes managed double-digit FanDuel points again on Wednesday and might again tonight.

Andrew Copp, Wing, Winnipeg Jets

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

Does Paul Maurice listen to us? Either way, Andrew Copp temporarily found himself on the top line on Wednesday, and the Winnipeg Jets' forward delivered again with an assist, five shots, and over 22 minutes of ice time.

With Winnipeg missing Nikolaj Ehlers as much as they have, Copp plugs in well everywhere and showed, as always, that he can take on the extra load. He had several good scoring chances, as well. Thankfully, his salary has remained stagnant.

Joel Armia is seeing some top-six minutes from the Montreal Canadiens and is just $3.300 going against Winnipeg.

Ryan Graves, Defenseman, Colorado Avalanche

FanDuel Salary: $3,500

Friday seems like a night to just take the plunge on a minimum-salaried defenseman. Ryan Graves fits that bill well from Colorado.

The matchup is reasonable enough, and Graves, in 16 minutes of ice time, showed something most of the other Avalanche defenseman forgot to on Wednesday against Vegas. He actually hit the net and four times at that. The result included a goal, as well.

Graves has one of the best slap shots on the team, but his windup can be rather burdensome at times. Graves should get a few chances against San Jose, who allows 3.39 goals per game and 31.4 shots per contest.

For another value defenseman, Mario Ferraro nearly topped 10 FanDuel points one more time on Wednesday. Ferraro's floor is a safe bet from the Sharks, and he's just $3.700.
