3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Monday 12/6/21
Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.
Let's look for some more of that value on Monday night.
Isac Lundestrom, Center, Anaheim Ducks
FanDuel Salary: $4,000
The more we see of Isac Lundestrom, the more he seems to impress. He now has double-digit FanDuel point night in three straight contests.
The Anaheim Ducks' center has a nice, little matchup against the depth of the Washington Capitals on Monday. His shot total is a bit low (31 in 25 games), but he's been efficient as he does have six goals and eight assists. That includes two goals and two assists in five games with increasing ice time (20 minutes on Friday versus Calgary).
The Seattle Kraken still possess a nice alternative in Yanni Gourde. He has not moved up in salary like some figured. As a matter of fact, Gourde is stuck at $4,100. However, the concern with the center is that he will be a bit too much chalk for some.
As for Anaheim, stacking Vinni Lettieri with Lundestrom is somewhat intriguing. Lettieri is a power-play specialist but has had several quality scoring chances at even-strength.
Joonas Donskoi, Wing, Seattle Kraken
FanDuel Salary: $3,800
When does the top-six winger score a goal for the Seattle Kraken? At least Joonas Donskoi has 12 assists on the young season.
Despite the low floor potential when it comes to shots and blocked shots, Donskoi does average a real-world point every other game. During this assist streak, he has five over the previous four games. Also, Donskoi has cracked the 15-minute barrier in all four of those games.
The Pittsburgh Penguins face these Kraken, who have some nice, undervalued players on Monday.
Matt Roy, Defenseman, Los Angeles Kings
FanDuel Salary: $3,600
The Los Angeles Kings' defenseman has looked much better during this last call-up.
Matt Roy does have 4+ shots in five of his last eight appearances. One thing that is also a plus is his ability to extend plays. That is part of the reason why he is at least worth a look on Monday night.
He averages more than 20 minutes per night and has a good floor matchup versus the Vancouver Canucks.
With all the options available for values, expect Roy to be overlooked quite a bit. His salary is low enough to employ other relief options on Monday night -- like Damon Severson.
