4 FanDuel Premier League Players to Avoid in Matchweek 8
Wilfried Zaha, Forward, Crystal Palace
Salary: $10,000
Zaha is the fifth-highest priced forward on the slate, and he has averaged 18.40 FanDuel points through six matches -- the second-lowest average among all players listed at or above $9,500. Zaha has contributed on the Eagles' scoresheet in four of his six matches -- three goals and one assist -- but all of his contributions have come away from Selhurst Park.
The Eagles have a 36.4% chance of beating Wolves, and the match has a 44.4% chance of totaling over 2.5 goals. Zaha scored in three of his first four appearances of the season but has now failed to place a shot on target in back-to-back matches and has a 30.5% chance of finding the back of the net on Saturday, according to Paddy Power.
The Eagles have scored more than one goal in a match this season just once -- Matchweek 1 against Fulham -- while Wolves have held their opponents to one or fewer goals in five-straight matches, including matches against Manchester City and Manchester United. Through seven matches, Wolves have allowed the eighth-fewest shots (82) to all positions while allowing the eighth-fewest chances created (0.99) and fifth-fewest shots (1.81) per 90 minutes to forwards this season.
Zaha’s top FanDuel performance of the season came against Huddersfield in Matchweek 5, when he scored 31 FanDuel points while scoring one goal, creating two chances and taking two shots on target. However, Zaha has produced three performances of fewer than 15 FanDuel points while scoring under 10 FanDuel points twice and has reached the 20-point mark in three matches. Zaha, even with a goal, has proven early this season that he does not have the high ceiling that DFS players will need to win large-field tournaments.
