Forward - Shane Long, Southampton ($7,500)

Forwards continue to be priced higher with limited value options. However, Long finally scored his first goal of the season last week and gets a good match up this weekend. He had been pressing as he was fouled twice in each of the last of the three matches, but the goal last weekend should allow Long to play more free.

Long averages only 1.1 shots per match, but he also contributes on defense as a forward. That likely continues, as Southampton have struggled as a team this season. However, they face an Everton team that have lost four of their last six matches while Southampton have claimed three of their four victories in the last six competitions. Everton have won only two matches away from home this season.

Everton averages less than 46% possession on the road. They give up over one shot more on the road than when playing at home. Southampton average five shots on target at home, which is good for ninth-best in the league.

Manolo Gabbiadini was shipped out of Southampton, so Long is clearly the target man. He is one of the lowest-priced expected starters at forward and his team's play is improving. Long carries some risk, but carries a high ceiling this week.
