Addison Russell has seen his production jump from his 2015 rookie campaign to this year, and he is slashing .249/.337/.430 with a .329 wOBA and .181 ISO.

He'll have a good opportunity to build on that success tonight, as the Chicago Cubs have the second-highest implied total of the day in a matchup with Edwin Jackson and the San Diego Padres.

Jackson has seen his SIERA climb in each of the last four seasons and is currently sporting an ugly 5.37, the second-worst mark of his career. His career-long numbers don't leave much room for optimism either, with a 4.60 ERA and 4.36 SIERA, and Russell should shine with such a favorable matchup.
