Even at the ripe age of 37, Chase Utley is having some solid success against right-handed pitching this season, slashing .272/.346/.417 with a .332 wOBA. His batted-ball stats are particularly encouraging as he owns a huge 38.8% hard-hit rate with a 14.5% soft-hit rate.

He's got the kind of matchup -- a clash with right-hander Luis Perdomo -- that makes those numbers extra promising.

Through 30 games (115 2/3 innings) in his rookie season, Perdomo has an ugly 5.84 ERA and 4.14 SIERA with a 16.1% strikeout rate and 8.0% walk rate. He's allowing a .358 wOBA to left-handed hitters, putting Utley in position to thrive tonight.
