Kendrys Morales is making some outstanding contact this year with a 41.3% hard-hit rate -- which ranks 7th among qualifying hitters -- and 12.8% soft-hit rate.

A switch hitter, he has done his best work against right-handed pitchers, slashing .272/.334/.480 for his career with a .349 wOBA and .207 ISO. He's up against James Shields, who has really struggled with left-handed hitters this year.

Actually, Shields is having a brutal season all around with career-worst marks in ERA (6.07), SIERA (5.25), strikeout rate (15.3%) and walk rate (9.7%). He's been especially bad versus lefties, allowing a .366 wOBA.
