Volquez hasn't posted a SIERA below 4.20 since 2010, and through 29 starts this season, he owns a 5.02 ERA. He is pitching to a 4.64 xFIP this year versus left-handed batters, making this a great matchup for Melky Cabrera.

Cabrera has found a lot of success against right-handed pitching over his career, and he is having a solid season, slashing .296/.347/.443 with a 339 wOBA. The game is at homer-happy U.S. Cellular Field, where Cabrera has put up a 37.3% fly-ball rate this campaign.
