Colby Rasmus hasn't been producing particularly well this year, but with a .257 BABIP that is well below his .294 career average -- despite a 35.2% hard-hit rate that is right in line with his average (35.4%) and a 13.4% soft-hit rate that is his best mark since his rookie season -- there's plenty of room for optimism.

He has a career .251/.317/.458 slash with a .334 wOBA and .207 ISO against right-handed pitching and has a good matchup tonight against Jharel Cotton.

Cotton has a 5.88 SIERA through his first two Major League starts with only a 10.4% strikeout rate. He posted a shaky 4.31 ERA through 28 Triple-A games this season, and despite his struggles, Rasmus has some real potential in this matchup.
