Mitch Moreland, 1B, Texas Rangers

While Mitch Moreland isn't hitting for average particularly well this season, owning a .244 batting average and .323 wOBA, he has still shown some serious power with a .204 ISO, and he is one home run shy of matching his career-high of 23.

There may also be some bad luck baked into that shaky average, as he has a 36.4% hard-hit and 15.5% soft-hit rate on the season but only a .279 BABIP compared to his career average of .290.

He has done his best work against right-handed pitching over his career and has a good matchup tonight at home in the hitter-friendly Globe Life Park against Jhoulys Chacin and the Los Angeles Angels.

Chacin has a rough 5.43 ERA and 4.43 SIERA on the year and hasn't posted a SIERA better than 4.00 since 2010. He is allowing a .343 wOBA with a 4.92 xFIP against left-handed hitters on the season, and Moreland has huge upside in this matchup.
