Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Wednesday is ace day, and there are plenty of studs on the hill. Max Scherzer, Cole Hamels, Masahiro Tanaka, Corey Kluber and Chris Sale should account for most of the ownership, leading to an ignored Kenta Maeda.
Why You Should Use Him:
Maeda has enjoyed a strong 2016, sporting a 3.67 SIERA. He's also struck out better than a batter per inning en route to a 25% strikeout rate. In September, he's allowing a 20.8% hard-hit rate with a 31.3% soft-hit rate.
Maeda will take on an anemic San Francisco Giants' offense that ranks 26th in wOBA (.302) in the second half, leading to their historic collapse. Vegas gives the Giants a 3.33 implied total, and the Dodgers' are pretty big favorites (-163 moneyline).
