While it hasn't consistently translated to strong production, Chase Utley is making terrific contact this year, with a 37.8% hard-hit rate that is his best since 2008, while his 14.3% soft-hit rate is right in line with his career average.

He has made especially good contact against right-handed pitching, with a 38.9% hard-hit and 13.9% soft-hit rate, and he has a good matchup against Tyler Chatwood.

Chatwood has a 4.13 ERA and 4.69 SIERA on the year, as well as a shaky 10.4% walk rate. He has also struggled against left-handed hitters over his career, allowing a .347 wOBA with a 4.69 xFIP. Hitting leadoff with a matchup this good puts Utley in a great spot.
