The Houston Astros have a deep lineup and are expected to be contenders in 2017. To do that, there are some questions the team must answer on the field.

Once the projections went live, one of the first teams I wanted to look at was the Houston Astros. Why? Well, there are three important things I've been pondering about this team throughout the offseason.

Can Jose Altuve duplicate last year's power? How many plate appearances will Evan Gattis get with Brian McCann now on the roster? And finally, what should we expect from a 40-year-old Carlos Beltran after compiling 29 home runs and 93 RBI off the strength of a .295 batting average last season?
