Vincent Velasquez, Philadelphia Phillies

Sticking with the Phillies, we get almost the exact same script from Vincent Velasquez that we had with Nola. If he's on the bump, he has the potential to be an absolute stud, and things are looking safe for him right now.

Velasquez makes his living on getting that third strike, something he has done to 26.9% of the batters he has faced in his career. He coupled that last year with an 8.2% walk rate, a solid improvement with the 9.1% mark he had in 2015. He, too, was just bit by the injury bug.

The walks have come back a bit this spring with Velasquez issuing free passes 12.1% of the time, but so, too, have the strikeouts. Through 58 batters, Velasquez has a 31.0% strikeout rate, and we'll happily take that.

Outside of health, the only other thing limiting Velasquez is his ground-ball rate. He's the antithesis of Nola in this regard, generating just a 34.8% ground-ball rate, among the lowest rates in the league. That's a scary proposition at Citizens Bank Park, and it does help keep a lid on Velasquez's fantasy value. That said, it's hard to find strikeouts in bunches the way he gets them, so feel free to poke around and see what the asking price may be.
